Excellent recipe: very tasty and very easy. I didn't have purple onions, so I used some green instead. We tried your basic "saute with salt and butter" recipe for asparagus last night - this one definitely tops it and barely takes any more work.

This was very good, fast and easy. I will definitely make this again! I added some grape tomoatoes cut in halves for the last minute of cooking. I garnished the dish with the tomatoes to add some color.

This recipe was okay. I love asparagus so I will eat it any way that it can be fixed. This recipe did not add a lot of flavor to the asaparagus.

so delicious...the Perfect crunchy asparagus! Added a bit more wine and butter and poured over pasta. Also added some lemon zest. My anti-asparagus husband loved it!

This was excellent! I have been trying to find an easy recipe for asparagus, something with flavor and this is full of flavor! We will be using this for our Christmas dinner vegetable this year!
