Good - nice and tender, good flavor. I ended up cooking it on low for about 15 hours.

This was a very savory wonderful dish! My husband and kids loved it! The only thing that I did different was that I added a few sprigs of rosemary, and then strained it after about 5 minutes. It was a big hit with my family! I will definitely cook this again!

Very easy and good. Threw it in the crockpot in the morning, came home and had a filling dinner for the kids. I toasted the buns ahead of time to help them from getting mushy. Also added horseradish to give it a kick. Great!

This recipe was so good and so easy. I used a beef brisket (that's what I had in the freezer) and the only thing I changed was that I added a can of beef broth instead of the water. Then I lightly buttered the rolls and placed them under the broiler until lightly browned, layered on the cheese and beef and gave everyone a small bowl of au jus. Just delicious! This will be on my Super Bowl Party menu.

I add a package of Good Season's Italian dressing and 2 bullian cubes to my crock pot and more water (we like lots of dipping juice) and it's a family favorite. The cook that wondered about it being greasy, watch the roast you buy, a chuck roast can often be very fatty. You might need to get a different cut of roast.

We really like this recipe! We actually bought 5lbs of meat and cut it in half and only cooked half of it, froze the rest. I didn't have the all day time so I did it on high for 4.5 hours and it was great! We cooked up our leftovers today...put the already cooked and shaved meat in the slowercooker on HIGH for 3 hrs with another 2cups water and another au jus packet as well as fried up mushrooms. DELISH. I enjoyed it better second time round. THe only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was it has more of a gravy flavor than au jus to us. but still delish!

This was good. Without the suggestion I would never have tried the Au Jus in a Slow Cooker roast. Was liked by all.

We loved this recipe! We also toasted the rolls with a little of the juice and put grilled onions on it. My husband says its his favorite meal and it was so easy!

This was great! I, too, added some beef boullion to the recipe. My entire family devoured this and for once, we didn't have any leftovers.

I made one adjustment to this recipe. I used 1/2 cups water and 1/2 cups white wine instead of 1 cup water. I added the other ingredients as written. It was very tender and tasted wonderful. Thanks for a very easy and enjoyable recipe!

Dale loved this dish. The dipping au jus sauce really made the sandwhich SO good. Leftovers didn't taste as good to me. Served on soft hoagie rolls

This is amazing! I have used this so many times. Key is type of roast and adding the beef broth as mentioned in an earlier quote to keep down the grease content. So easy! thank you for sharing.

This was the easiest and best french dip ever! The store only had about 2 pound sirloin tip roasts, so I used two. After reading other reviews, I used 2 cans of beef broth instead of water to mix with the packet of au jus mix. I did sprinkle a little garlic salt and oregano on top of the roasts. After 7 hours on low, it was so tender I had to shred the meat instead of slice it. Try this recipe, you won't be sorry!

This was so good!! My family wants this all the time. I did not have the grease problem, but I always look for a lean cut of meat with this. To good to miss out on. You could always make extra juice for dipping on the side if you find you have a grease problem.

I thought that the roast turned out wonderfully. Delicious flavor and very tender. But using the au jus from the slow cooker - I did not care for at all. It was much thicker than I am accustomed to. And, was full of the grease from the roast. Yuck. I think it would have been much better if I had made a separate broth for dipping the sandwiches.
