I made this when my parents came over and it was extremely easy! It was so good there were no leftovers. I will make this again.

This was great! I didn't have any bouillon cubes so I reduced 3 c. beef broth down to about 1 1/3 c. I substituted dried celery for the celery stalks, and added garlic salt and pepper.

Really good! I added 5-6 cloves of garlic and I seared the roast and deglazed the pan before putting in the slow cooker. It came out really tender and the vegetable's tasted wonderful.

I made this with turkey breast and chicken stock. Couldn't be easier and wonderful to come home to a house that smelled like Thanksgiving.

Very simple recipe for pot roast...depending on what veggies you prefer, you can always change those around.

This is the best roast I have had. It's better than my mother's! I didn't have room in my crock pot for the potatoes so I just made mashed out of them with gravy made from the cooking liquids and cornstarch. The carrots were even good cold the next day.

Was a good recipe. But I added the 3 cloves of garlic, used the Lipton Onion Soup mix instead of the bullion. Also added the water & a cup or 2 of red wine. Added mushrooms, celery, & carrots in the last couple of hours. Cooked 1 hour on high & about 5.5 on low.

Delicious, Melt-In-Your-Mouth Good! It's easy to throw together and great to come back to after a day at work. I didn't plan the snow that accompanied the roast, but what a great pair. Next time, I might add a little black pepper, but that's all I'd change.

I like how easy this was to make and it tasted just like my Grandmothers used to. I did substitute the celery with cabbage and I put more than a 1/2 cup water in. This was excellent!

This was wonderful! I did leave the clery whole, so I could have the flavor then remove it when serving(my family doesn't like cerely) or so they think. I do that quite often. They don't mind the taste, just the texture. Anyway, thanks for this recipe.

I have not had a pot roast in years and have never made one, but this is just like i remember. i browned the meat first (because my mom told me to) then added the water 1.5 cups of waterand bullion to the stuff left in in the pan. i put the veggies on top of the meat and put it on high. i only needed 3 hrs. next time i will add the potatos a little later as they were a little too mushy. other than that it was perfect

A delicious, mild flavor and the roast practically melted in your mouth! The only thing is, ours cooked in close to 6 hours (1st hour on high, the rest on low) Make sure you watch the slow cooker on this one. Thank you for a delicious meal!

This is how my mom used to do it and I do love this recipe. I have tweaked it over the years, I add a packet of Lipton Onion soup mix, 2 cups of red wine and 3 cloves of garlic.

Fantastic! My first time using a crockpot. Cooked it for my 17 year old brother and my husband and they loved it. I added a lot more spice. I used garlic powder, salt, pepper, steak seasoning, three whole cloves of garlic, and a cup of water instead of half.

This was a great dinner to come home to tonight, it's cold and rainy out. The meat came out very tender and very flavorful. I've been using the McCormick seasoning for pot roasts, and those are pretty good but wanted to try something different and didn't want to worry about preservitives or additives in seasonings. Thanks for the great recipe!

I cooked it on low for more than 6 hours but it did not seem so tender. I turned it up to high for another couple of hours, it was good but not fall apart meat. Maybe it was the cut of meat but was not as tender as I had hoped.

Awesome! My husband loved this roast so much, he was begging that I didn't eat too much so we would have leftovers!!! I omitted the veggies and added a can of diced tomatoes and used minced garlic. I put the roast over noodles and it was so delicous. I served with fresh bread and it was a hit.
