  1. Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a skillet over medium-low heat. Cook asparagus in melted butter, stirring a few times, until tender, 6 to 8 minutes.
  2. Drizzle honey over the asparagus and stir to coat; season with garlic powder and cayenne pepper.

  • Cook's Notes:
  • If you find the asparagus sticks to the pan, you can add up to 1 tablespoon butter more while cooking.
  • For a healthier alternative, use 2 tablespoons of extra-virgin olive oil instead of butter.

Very good! I really likes the sweetness of the honey w/ the spice of the cayenne. I did add some salt, but that was my only addition. I opted to use evoo in place of the butter to keep it healthier (I know the butter would've been even better, lol). The family enjoyed these and I would make them again! Thanks for sharing. :)

I really enjoyed this! I actually added some already cooked chicken strips and a handful of frozen bell peppers to it to make it a meal! Excellent!

Fabulous and so easy! Love veggie recipes that take veggies to the next level without a lot of fuss and without disguising or overpowering the natural flavors. This recipe is perfect on both counts.

Excellent flavor! The sweet and spicy work perfectly together. Plus this was so quick and easy. Even my 3 year old who refuses any veggies ate this!

Followed the recipe to the tee and the asparagus turned out absolutely amazing! Served it with breaded pork chops. The sweet and spicy was a perfect combination.
