  1. Melt chocolate chips with sweetened condensed milk in large saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla.
  2. Pour into medium bowl. Cover and chill 2 to 3 hours or until firm.
  3. Shape into 1-inch balls; roll in desired coating and/or decorate with frosting and candies. Chill 1 hour or until firm.

I agree with Rochele99. Very so-so. I was hoping the eaglebrand would sweeten it more. I decided not to use them for the party.

A so so chocolate ball tastes like fudge so just make some fudge, much easier.

Love love love these. This is the recipe that my mom has made even before I was born and my family has used for 50 years. We have to make them every year for Christmas without fail. We roll the truffles in three coatings, sweetened coconut, unsweetened cocoa and finely chopped hazelnuts. Our family loves this recipe and so will yours.

This was a very easy recipe, and it turned out great! I tweaked it slighty, as I used 2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate, 1/2 cup of milk chocolate and 1/2 cup of unsweetened chocolate. I also made a batch with peppermint extract and coated with crushed candy canes. They tasted quite rich and made very cute Christmas gifts!

These turned out great. I made the recipe exact except I refrigerated them for 3 hours. By the time I took them out they were rock hard! Impossible to roll. But after I let them sit out for 2hrs or so they softend up perfect for me to roll them into tablespoon sized balls. Rolled in powdered sugar and sprinkles. Will definitely make again for Christmas. Only problem I had with these is that they are incredibly sweet. I couldn't even finish one without being extremely thirsty. Next time I will use this recipe to make fudge instead. Rolling into bite size balls doesn't seem to work since the richness is overwhelming. Very easy recipe tho!
