Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Cream the butter with the sugar. Stir in the sour cream, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, salt and chopped nuts. Mix well and form into logs. Wrap logs with plastic wrap and refrigerate for several hours or overnight.
  2. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  3. Slice cookies into 1/4 inch rounds and bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 10 minutes.
