This recipe is almost failproof, but for some weird reason it is not as I posted is 7 or 8 years ago. When using: 325 grams flour, 250 grams sugar, 250 grams butter you'll get a nice moist buttery boterkoek that is absolutely not sandy!

No liquid, it came out like sand. I had a Dutch Indonesian lady make this for me many years ago and it was great. She just made cookies to go on a bowl of ice cream.
