This was so delish! Very moist and the apples are just wonderful. My husband ate a whole loaf for breakfast one day. I am going to make some more for Christmas.

I replaced half of the butter with cinnamon applesauce and added 1 tsp cinnamon to the batter, but otherwise followed the recipe. This bread was gone so fast that I didn't even get a chance to taste it, but everyone said it was great! So I will be making it again so that I can taste it :)

Yum! I added cinnamon, nutmeg and some fresh raspberries as well as spices and oatmeal to the topping. It was amazing! Thanks for the recipe.

This was so soft and moist! I did add a little bit more apple than called for as well as some cinnamon to the batter. I used golden delicious cause it's what I had but will definitely next time use granny smith because I want that sweet sour apple taste. Sub in brown sugar for the topping and you will be amazed at how delicious this loaf is:)

This is one delicious apple bread! Buttermilk definitely gives it that extra moistness and the smell coming from the oven while it bakes is fabulous! I used Granny Smith apples (a little over 2 cups) and added 1/2 tsp. of baking powder, 1 tsp. of cinnamon, and 1/2 tsp. of nutmeg to the batter. I left out the nuts as I didn't have any on hand. For the topping I used brown sugar and added 1/4 cup of quick cooking oats in addition to the rest of the ingredients. It baked up beautifully - this recipe is a definite keeper!

Oh my! This is a really good recipe! I added raisins to mine, because the Dutch apple pies I'm used to eating have raisins in them and I am giving these mini loaves as gifts...recipe made 4 mini loaves!

This was just okay. I was really hoping for something great based on reviews but what a disappointment. It had no flavor the first day after cooling. The second day my family thought it had better flavor and you could taste the apple some. If you are looking for something with a very simple flavor this is the one.

This was a great way to use up some aging apples that I still had from the farmer's market! I substituted all the butter (in the bread, not the streusel topping) with applesauce and it was moist and delicious! I also used half white and half whole wheat flour, used brown sugar in the topping, and added 2 tsp of cinnamon to the bread itself. Will make this again and again!

This is a very good recipe, as written. It is moist and definitely lives up to "dutch apple loaf" in taste, especially if you use fresh, tart, not too ripe, apples. I think next time I will try brown sugar in the streusel, just for fun. Thanks for sharing.

I made this recipe when I couldn't find my grandmother's recipe. I was sure it couldn't be as good, but to my surprise it was better! Love the crumble topping. It's a great recipe don't change a thing!
