I made these to go in "Grandma's Chicken Noodle Soup" and instead of making large dumplings, I made very small ones as requested by my kids, so that they would be bite sized. The recipe was easy to follow, and the resulting soup was so incredibly good. It's a definite keeper!

At first I wasn't really sure how this wa going to turn out.I like dumplings that aren't slimmy and are cooked all the way threw and these met every bit of what I pefer in dumplings. My son didn't like my home made chicken noodle soup until the night after when I added the dumplings. GREAT RECIPE ! K.H.T. in Texas

These dumplings were good, but pretty much just like any other recipe I've made. They did get much larger after simmering than other recipes I've tried. Don't double the recipe unless you have a HUGE stockpot. I will make again, but only because I have no reason not to!

I'm giving this a great rating because I think the dumplings would have turned out fine if I had used smaller scoops of dough into my soup. I dropped four spoonfuls of it into the broccoli cheese soup listed in this site. It took more than 15 minutes for them to cook and I'm afraid never cooked dry if you will. They stayed very moist and doughy. It was my first try at them though and I appreciate the quickness and ease of this recipe. Thanks

These dumplings are fluffy in nature. I wound up having to add twice as much milk to make the dough "droppable."

Excellant recipe! The dumplings came out so light and fluffy and flavorful. I was searching for a dumpling recipe made from scratch instead of a mix and was so happy to find this one. I prefer to use butter instead of margarine and they came out great. Thanks for sharing this one.

Good recipe. One taster said it tasted like a biscuit. The buttermilk dumplings I made at the same time were "voted" better. I've read that melting the butter and adding it with the milk has the same or better result. Just a thought for anyone who wants to try this recipe. Worth making.

I have made the same old dumplings for years. I came upon this recipe and tried it. These were great! I made them for chicken and dumplings. They also thickened the sauce as they cooked. Thanks for a keeper.

This is very good recipe. I have used it in beef stew and also chicken and noodles in broth. It is easy, quick and delicious. Won't use any other dumpling recipe from now on!

I will definitely use this recipe again. My kids loved the dumplings (once they were convinced to taste them - better yet they actually ate some of the soup beneath the dumplings!). A great nostalgia food.

These are great dumplings, just like the kind my Mom used to make. I use them when I have left over meat and gravy. Just throw some mixed vegetables (frozen) in with the meat and gravy, bring to a boil and plop the dumplings on top. I cooked them covered for about 5 minutes and then uncovered until done. They are also great in soup.

This was far superior to the bisquick recipe I usually use. I substituted greek seasoning salt for salt and added garlic powder for flavor. Next time I will double the recipe since my family and friends wanted seconds and I ran out. Julie
