This is my recipe. We live in New Mexico at a 6000+ elevation which probably accounts for your dryness. Try reducing the flour in the crust by about a 1/4 cup and it should bake up better at lower elevations.

I use an entire bag of chocolate chips and double the amount of ingredients for the crust. Also, the crust won't come out so dry if you add more butter and don't cook it as long. I love making this and I always come home with an empty pan!

VERY DRY. NOT GOOD AT ALL. I MADE THESE BECAUSE THE INGREDIENTS WERE ON HAND, BUT WISH I TRIED ANOTHER RECIPE. SORRY.

Easy to make. Good taste, but a little on the dry side.

These were not what I expected. I was expecting something softer and chewer. They were pretty dry and crispy.

I made these tasty treats for work and they were a huge hit. I used whole wheat flour instead of white flour, and I used old-fashioned oats. Still turned out great!

My boyfriend and I go through a pan of these in a couple of days. I almost double the chocolate chips and use only 1/2 cup coconut.
