INGREDIENTS
1 pound ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
2 medium potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
1 (15 ounce) can peas, drained
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed vegetable beef soup, undiluted
salt and pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS
In a skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Add the potatoes, peas, soups, salt and pepper; mix well. Transfer to a greased 11-in. x 7-in. x 2-in. baking dish. Cover and bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour until potatoes are tender.
FOOTNOTE
Down-Home-Dinner can also be made in a slow cooker. Brown the beef and onion; drain. Combine with the remaining ingredients in a slow cooker. Cover and cook on high for 4-6 hours (on low for 8-12 hours) or until potatoes are tender.

This wasn't bad but I thought it was a little too "meaty"...almost like just eating burger mixed with soup. I'm sure it can be fixed up well but it sufficed well for a hot fall meal.

Pretty good...nothing amazing, just your basic meat, potatoes, and veggie casserole... nice, warm comfort food for a fall day. Kids and hubby are sure to eat it up. I added an extra can of corn.
