Amazing! Here's my changes: used Hershey's unsweetened cocoa powder, added 3 T malted milk powder, and a sprinkle(less than 1/8 tsp) of cinnamon and nutmeg(seems small but the subtle hint of flavor is great) to the powder mixture. 3 2/3 cups 2% milk for all the 'milks'. ghiradelli 60% cacao chips and melted in with the vanilla. no cool whip. this is just chocolate deliciousness, will cure your craving- for sure! A keeper, thanks for the recipe!(:

Other than subbing 3 dark chocolates for the German chocolate (didn't have any), I followed the recipe as written. Soooo good! Served it with Sweetened Whipped Cream (also from this site).

I made a pie with this delicious pudding. I made this using whole milk and milk chocolate. After it cooled, I folded in 1 cup of whipped topping and poured it into a homemade chocolate cookie crust. Fantastic!! thank you.

Very easy, delicious pudding. My only complaint is that it is too sweet. I hate using canned milk (yuck!) so I substituted whipping cream for the evaporated milk and used full-fat milk instead of fat-free. The pudding is very creamy, very chocolaty, and tasty. I'll make this again, but I'll use a bit less sugar.

I'm not sure if I'm missing a secret to great pudding making, but mine did not thicken or set. I used soy milk, so I'm guessing this had something to do with it.

This is a wonderful recipe! There is no chocolate "bite" like you get from some recipes that call for two types of chocolate. It is very silky and just melts in your mouth. It is also great as a pie filling.

Great flavor, but mine was runny. Maybe I needed more cornstarch or to cook it longer or soemthing. Thanks for the recipe.

This is soooo good. I only made a couple of slight changes. When I took it off of the heat, I added a talbespoon of butter, and then I whipped it in my stand mixer and allowed it to cool, then I added the chopped chocolate. I only had semi-sweet chocolate. Yum-O! Ok, do not mix it with the stand mixer, it never sets afterwards.

A most excellent pudding. Instead of evaporated milk, which often overpowers other tastes i added whole milk and cream together to make the 5 oz. needed. sets very nicely and quickly. perfect for short notice. Also added chopped bananas and walnuts, which i havn't tasted yet, but promises to be good. Plus it has thick skin on it which i love!
