This was such a hit last week, I'm making two more today! The dried cherries were such an unusual surprise. I didn't bake it as long as the recipe called for, only about 45 minutes, and the pie came out perfectly. Only way to improve it: Add vanilla ice cream!

I love this recipe, everytime I've used it someone asks for a copy! I do add a dash of the nutmeg to the pie crust before I add the filling and just the barest of sprinkles of cinnamon and granulated sugar to the top before I add my crust. The tapioca really makes the difference you won't have cherry soup.
