This is a very tasty brownie, and worth the extra work that goes into it. However we ended up making icing twice, the recipe calls for 2 1/2 cups of confectioners' sugar which makes a very dry and crumbly icing. We ended up using 1 1/2 and it worked perfectly.

These were absolutely fantastic! Everyone demanded one and ate them all! These deserve a much higher rating! The only thing I substituted was the walnuts with pecans and added a bag of chocolate chips into the middle layer when making the middle layer. EDIT: Made them again yesterday and forgot the pecans! I needed more icing this time, but these are still phenomenal! The first layer tasted..okay without the pecans, must add them next time! And the icing was a little buttery too...

Loved these brownies! The icing is very sweet which makes these a very rich brownie. Long time to make but worth it in the end!

Disappointed in these. Nothing really stands out with the flavor. They weren't bad, just blah. I think of brownies as being chewie, chocolately, and moist, and these were not that. Lots of work for mediocre results. Definitely not a favorite.
