First of all, let me say that I tweaked this so much that it would be less than fair to give at least 5 stars: I did cut out the sugar and the cornmeal. I added a couple teaspoons of honey and about a cup of peanut butter. Then I opened the refrigerator and decided to add some cooked rice and a few shredded baby carrots. This invention was not the easiest to roll it out and cut, so I just dropped little teaspoonfuls onto the cookie sheets and flattened them a little. I wasn't sure how long to bake this concoction: some baked for 15 minutues and were pretty soft; by the end of this adventure, I was leaving them in for about 30 minutes. And I know all of you are wondering: they tasted pretty awful to me (yes, I did!), but in the eyes of our 3 furry fellows, I am now a culinary goddess. So, I guess the bottom line is: you really can't mess up this recipe and the recipients will love you forever! And isn't that why we would do this in the first place ;-)
