Super simple to make! The dough was very easy to work with and the dogs loved them! I made them as Christmas treats for my parents' dogs and for some neighbor dogs as well. They were a huge hit! Thanks!

I followed some of the other reviewers' advice and substituted the beef buillon and cheese for 1 cup of peanut butter. I also substituted boiling chicken broth for the water. I made these for Christmas gifts from my pup to his doggie friends - every single dog (of all shapes and sizes!) loved these! I couldn't find small cookie cutters, so I just rolled out the dough and cut the treats into different sized rectangles. I also turned these halfway through baking. Wonderful recipe!

These came out just as I hoped they would: crunchy and smelly (dogs love smelly treats!). I substituted beef bullion with chicken, and didn't add sugar. I even tasted them myself -- they were pretty good! I'm giving them to my mother's dog's tomorrow, so we'll see what they think of them!

Fantastic recipe. We made one batch following the directions (with cheese and beef) and another batch omitting those two ingredients and substituting with peanut butter. Our Scottie dog, Stewart, loved both equally and couldn't stop asking us for more. Thanks so much!

I liked these treats, and I will make them again! I am excited to try the chicken bouillon and peanut butter instead of beef. My only complaint...these are NOT EASY to make! They are inexpensive, and they make alot, and my dogs (Two 85 lb Boxers) LOVED them. These take a long time to roll out and cut, so be sure you have enough time to spend on them! I didnt have enough time, so I refrigerated half of the dough. The half that I cooked probably made 45-60 treats. I didnt use wheat flour, I just used regular all purpose unbleached flour and it worked great. I probably used about 1/4-1/2 cup extra. Give this recipe a try!

Well, I haven't given these to a dog yet. Freezing them until Christmas. However, my 5 year old son LOVES them.

Dogs enjoyed these very much. I doubled the recipe and I made about 150 cookies using a 3" dog bone cutter and rolling my dough to 1/8" to 1/4" thick. Not necessary to grease the pans or to space the cookies - they do not spread. I substituted boiling beef broth for the boiling water and omitted the bouillion for less sodium. I also turned the cookies once the bottoms were browned for even color and crispness. Thanks for sharing!!

Easy, dog loved them. I did use 1 1/3c of beef broth and drippings(drained grease and juices from ground beef) instead of the water and margarine. Also added 1 clove minced garlic.

Made this last night and my dogs did actually stand at the foot of the oven door while I removed the biscuits. I put them on cooling racks and the dogs "whined" until biscuits were cool enough to eat. How do they know?! Gave some to three more dogs today and they all went nuts over these biscuits! A definate keeper.

This is awesome! My 1 yr. old cockapoo is upstairs whining at the table as a rack is cooling as we speak! She loves them and I used mini bones and stars, perfect for her size!

My Patterdale Terrier, Chase, would not stop hovering around the oven while these were baking! I used chicken boullion and separated the dough into 2 batches, added finely chopped carrots to half. Grating the carrots would work too, but I liked the texture that the chunks gave. If your cookie cutters are sharp, you shouldn't have a problem cutting through the carrots. Thanks!

my dog absolutely loves these cookies. when they were on the kitchen-counter to cool my man tasted them. He thought they were "normal" cookies, as they smell really good! I didn't change anything, the recipe works very well.
