2 (5.2 ounce) packages
Betty Crocker® Seasoned Skillets® hash brown potatoes
green bell pepper, chopped
dried chopped onion
shredded Cheddar cheese
Original Bisquick® mix
The best part was my fresh organic pork sausage in it. Otherwise, it was dry and bland. Needs some seasonings. Served it with hot sauce and salsa because it needed more flavor. I think seasoned cheese would have helped.
This recipe is amazing. I made it for a group and everyone loved it. I've had several people ask for the recipe.
I LOVE this recipe! I use a half cup of fresh onion instead of dried, one large bell pepper, and a full 1-lb ham steak cubed. I cook it for 50-60 minutes, and it's perfectly moist, flavorful, and delicious! I also add a dash of garlic, thyme, and some chives for zing. My husband and son look forward to this casserole every weekend, and we have leftovers for Sundays too!
