Looking through this site for a fruit dip recipe, I decided on this one because I like lime flavor. Easy to make, texture was good, my guests all liked it! After I made it (according to the recipe), I added extra (doubled) lime juice and grated rind. Gave it 4 stars "as is," but bump it up to 5 stars with the extra lime. Also, I think the addition of a little green food coloring finishes it nicely, lets the person know it's LIME!

I really loved this recipe. I added more lime to my liking. I also gave it a few drops of green food coloring- I had a fruit dip assortment and wanted to tell them apart. I tried to use a real lime, but it would not juice, it was so hard. I rolled it, I heated eat, and nothing. The juice buds would not break. So I used bottled lime juice instead. Worked great. Will make this again.

I also make it with orange juice and peel instead of the lime juice. Kids love it. Suzanne

I probably would rate this recipe between three and four stars. I made a double recipe for a children's birthday party, thinking it would be so popular that I would run out, but I have about 98% of it left over still. The people who ate it only did so because I forced them to try it. I think it tastes like cream cheesy lime sherbet. Which isn't a bad flavor, in my book, except that maybe the cream cheese is too intense... I thought it was pretty decent, but I think my kids would have preferred a stronger marshmallow flavor. I'm not sure what went wrong. I tinted it a very light green and garnished with a little extra lime zest, so it looked really cool, it just didn't go over that well.

this was great, I used the orange juice/zest as suggested also and it was the perfect taste w/ the fruit(I used pineapple, melons, kiwi, grapes, and strawberries). great success and easy! Cheaper than store bought fruit platter too. thanks!
