I cut the amount of butter in half, and this was still too greasy! Sorry, I wanted to like it because it was so easy to make, but I won't be making it again.

I mixed cracker crumbs, fresh minced garlic cloves, black pepper & cayenne in a plastic bag. Threw scallops in the bag & pressed mixture to scallops. Used 2 T. butter instead of 1/2 cup and a mixture of lemon & lime juices with the white wine. Baked for 15 min then broiled for 2 min. Served with jasmine rice & steamed asparagus. EXCELLENT! I'm thinking about trying this same crumb mixture on fish. Definitely company quality. No kids were here to eat it so I wasn't sure how to rate for kid friendly. Dinah, thank you!

I'd have to agree with cutting down the butter. 1/4 cup could even be cut down a bit more. Otherwise, it's a winner - the hubbie loved it!

This was very good. I read the reviews, and am glad I halved the butter amount. I also lessened the wine amount by a little bit. The cracker crumbs gave it a wonderful taste.

This was great. My husband said it was one of the best tasting scallops he had eaten. I didn't have any crackers so I used bread crumbs. Excellent.

This was my first attempt at cooking seafood - I'm a newlywed who is a beginner at cooking! This is so so easy, and my husband couldn't stop raving about it! I will probably halve the butter next time too, as others have mentioned. But thanks for making me look like a chef Dinah!

Excellent recipe. I also halved the butter (as most reviews recommended) and it was still too rich for us. I will use only a fourth of the called for butter next time. Overall, the taste and texture was perfect. Thanks!!

Awesome recipe!! I used garlic salt in place of the powder because of some other reviews suggesting salt. I also added cayanne pepper, about 1/4 tsp. It was perfect. I took the advice and broiled it after the 15 minutes of cooking. Thank you!

These are really amazingly tasty, and so very rich. I added a half pound more scallops than actually called for, but they were delicious!

Yay! This is my FAVORITE recipe! I have made it three times. (Once, two times within one week!) My husband raves about it. As a tip, if you don't have the crackers, I used Italian breadcrumbs, and it was awesome! (Might want to cut back on the butter though.) Thank you Dinah, for the greatest recipe!

This was a simple and absolutely yummy way to cook scallops...don't think I'll ever use another recipe to prepare them. I had 2 lbs of scallops, used 1/2 the butter and baked them for the full time, then broiled each side. DEEEELIC!

I tried this recipe for my family last night..it was good, but I'd like to change a couple things next time. First, the crumbs need something more than pepper and garlic powder...perhaps a little salt, or perhaps one small clove of garlic sauteed in the butter instead of the garlic powder. I may try bread crumbs next time. Instead of coating the entire scallop with the crumbs, I'll try just coating the tops only, because we found them a little too soggy. They need to be broiled the last couple minutes in order to brown well.

I enjoyed this one. My husband thought this was a bit bland, so next time, more garlic, maybe some salt.

I am very picky about my recipes. This scallop recipe is wonderful. I used bagel chips instead of butter crackers. I think they stay crunchier that way. I served it with rice pilaf and a crisp green salad. My 2 year old loved them. A fantastic recipe that I'll make again and again. Nice job Dinah!!
