Sweet, thick and full of cherries, this pie is irresistible. The filling is whipped up from a classic combination of canned cherry pie filling, sugar, flour and almond flavoring.

Lots and lots of sour cherries go into this pie and the end result is a slightly tart, juicy, incredibly delicious pie that goes well with scoops of vanilla ice cream.

To make this delightful pie, Bing cherries are combined with pecans, lemon juice and condensed milk to make the luscious filling that is then folded into whipped cream. This lovely concoction is then poured into a prepared graham cracker crust and chilled before serving.

Cherry pie is just about the easiest fruit pie to make. Sour cherries -- the kind you need for pie -- are rarely available fresh or frozen, so the canned variety usually is the only option for most cooks. Not only do canned cherries make good pies, but there's also no peeling, coring, seeding, pitting or slicing the fruit. Just drain, dump, sweeten, flavor and thicken, and you're in business.

For this simple, slightly piquant pie, ground cherries bake up wonderfully with sugar and spices and doused with fresh lemon juice. Look for these gems at your favorite farmers market and bake up a pie or two.

This is my favorite recipe to make for the holidays. It tastes too good to be this easy. Don't make your own dough? Just use dough mix or refrigerated crusts - it tastes just as delicious. Originally submitted to ThanksgivingRecipe.com.

This pie is heavy on flavor but light on calories. Light cherry pie filling and fat-free condensed milk are used to create this very creamy cheesecake crowned with cherries.
