To imitate Starbucks' recipe, I substituted fresh blueberries for jam, and I used whole wheat flour instead of white. I added half a teaspoon cinnamon and a teaspoon of vanilla in my doubled recipe. I actually found this recipe while in search for one that would match Starbucks.

YUM! Tastes like pie crust! I used sour cherry jam and doubled the recipe for 9x12 pan (which required much longer cooking time). Next time I think I'll use a tad less salt.

So easy so yummy. I made blueberry freezer jam, so I used that instead of raspberry jam. DELICIOUS. Make a double batch.

Very good. Made with both strawberry and raspberry jam. My husband prefers the strawberry, and I like the raspberry. Very quick and easy to throw together.

Well, I am so sorry to rate this low, but this just wasn't our thing. I guess we prefer real fruit desserts. The cookie part was pretty good, but I should have been leary when I saw it uses a jar of jam. It literally tasted like, well, biting into a jar of jam. I may try the cookie part with fresh raspberries partially crushed or something. We served these when company came over and no one took seconds or said anything about them. I think they felt the same way. Sorry... :~/

The first time I made these, it was a rainy day and I was bored. It was great because I had all the ingredients on hand. Very easy. I've made them several other times using different flavored jam and they were all delicious. Thanks.

I loved these!!!! I followed the recipe exactly and they turned out great. They were definitely firm enough and didn't crumble. I dusted powdered sugar and some extra brown sugar on top after they came out of the oven. Great for dessert or even a sweet breakfast treat! I'd love to try drizzling chocolate over it.

These were delicious! My husband tried to tell me they were not good, so I would not take them to work. He wanted me to leave them all for him!

I took these bars to a friends house for dinner and 4 of us demolished the entire batch. They were such a hit! I followed the recipe to a T except for using strawberry jam because it's what I had on hand. I tried the white chocolate drizzled on top, it was a nice addition but the bars can certainly stand alone in flavor, next time I probably won't go through the trouble.

I haven't come across a recipe in a long time that completely satisfies my extremely picky sweet tooth. This recipe did just that- the mix of tangy and chewy filling and not-too sweet cookie was divine. This dessert bar felt like eating a heartier version of the Starbucks' fruit cobbler bar. I took note of several changes other bakers mentioned: added 1 T lemon juice to microwaved (25 sec) preserves, 2 t cinnamon, <1 t nutmeg, and 1 t each of almond and vanilla extracts to the cookie batter. I used a pastry blender to really work the softened butter in- took me close to 7 minutes of blending to get the perfect texture. I also let them sit for about 30 minutes on the counter before I cut- I had no issues with crumbling. Divine! I'll treasure this recipe as I make different versions with other preserves- thanks a million Marbalet!

I made these three days ago for a BBQ. and they are still good several days later. I read that some people had problems with it being more crumbly and not sticking together. What I did to prevent this is make sure I pressed down on both layers and then when it come out you need to make sure it cools all the way, I did for 2 hours because I read that on another similar recipe. I didnt have any problems with it staying in bar form. I also added sliced almonds to the top layer.

Good. I warmed up the jelly for 20 secs in the microwave. Added 1t cinnamon to the oatmeal mixture. Make sure the butter is softened. Thanks.

very good. Im imagining you can use any flavor of jam. I used black raspberry. Delicious. Next time, I will use a little more butter and maybe add some water, as it was slightly crumbly.
