This recipe was great! I used chunky peanut butter instead and it tasted even better. The cookies ended up coming out slightly crispy on the outside but warm and soft on the inside. I will definetly use this recipe again!

I bake a lot of cookies and I like this one the best! Even after I ran out of all-purpose flour and had to substitute in whole wheat flour it came out great. They were quick and easy to bake. Thanks so much for the wonderful recipe!

These cookies are chewy goodness! I used butter flavored shortning and added peanut butter morsels. I did think that I made them wrong, but the batter is just loose. I had to cook them just about 2 minutes longer than suggested. They are delicious, just as stated!

I halved the recipe and put 1/2 cup of peanut butter, substituted a little butter for some of the shortening, slightly reduced the sugar. I baked for about 9 minuted and loved the texture, soft inside and slightly cripy on the edges. However, it was too sweet for my taste and a little too much peanut butter. I would halve the amount of sugar and use the amount of peanut butter in the recipe or only increase it slightly.

Very, very yummy. A little too soft, but they practically melted in my mouth, which is not such a bad thing... I baked them for 8 minutes at 375 degrees, and next time I'll try 9 minutes. I substituted sweet unsalted butter for the shortening, and used a full cup of chunky peanut butter. It made 39 cookies. Next time I will double the recipe, because I know they'll go like lightning !

I halfed this recipe, used Blue Bonnet tub spread instead of shortening, and didn't discover I didn't have any vanilla extract until I was already in the middle of mixing things. These cookies were so moist, chewy, and "delicious." My husband and I both liked them. They were so good in fact, I don't know what the vanilla would have added.

Great... simply the nice and chewy, delicious peanut butter cookie that pleases everyone! I also took the advice of others and used 1 C PB rather than the 3/4. Also to note, with the mention of the cookies being too flakey, I increased the flour by a couple TBSP and they were absolutely perfect, just what I was looking for! Thanx a million!

The only thing I did different was I used a whole cup of Peanut Butter, not 3/4 and it was awesome! They were very easy to make and I'll definately use this recipe again. I find them a little flaky around the edges but very soft in the middle. YUM! Thanks, this will be added to my recipe box :-)
