DELICIOUS; I never thought I would care much for ham and potato soup, but this recipe truly blows my mind away! Perfect for a cold day :) I'm definitely keeping this recipe for years and years to come!

This soup is simple and delish! We ended up adding an extra 1/2 cup of ham. Will be making again this weekend!

We absolutely love, love this soup. The only thing I do different is to use chicken broth instead of water and bouillon granules. Also, if you use red potatoes the potatoes hold up a little better and don't break down so much. My four year old literally licks her bowl when it's done!

Just made this for the hundredth time and it is still a family favorite! Perfectly delicious and doesn't need a thing. One thing I do a little differently is mash the pototes with a masher a few times - makes the soup thicker.

Just made this using a leftover Honeybaked Ham from Thanksgiving and it was fantastic! The only modification we made was adding a handful of shredded carrots and using a box of chicken stock in place of some of the water and chicken bouillon. This will be made again and again - even my picky MIL loved it!

this was simple and easy. I don't like celery so I did not add it, but did add a small bag of frozen corn. It was delicious!

This soup was sooooo good. My fiance LOVES potato soup and she says this was better than the one at her favorite restaurant. Can't wait to make it again.

My family (and friends) absolutely love this soup! I always add a little more celery/potatoes/onions just to make it a little more hearty and I like to add carrots as well. To really put it over the top, I sometimes add crumbled up bits of cooked bacon and maybe some sour cream to the pot as well! (Or top off each bowl with a dollop of sour cream, the bacon and a little shredded cheese to really add pizazz!) So yummy!

Absolutely delicious! I took this and Jamie's minestrone to a soup potluck. They devoured the potato soup. Jamie's minestrone was great too, but too many veggies for the kids and no meat for the guys, but the gals loved it! I brought a pound of crumbled bacon, sliced green onions and cheddar cheese to top this delicious potato soup.

I found it to be a very good base. I ended up using some mashed potatoes that I had in my fridge as leftovers to thicken up the soup. I also added some velveta cheese (1/2 cup) and ground garlic (1 TB) for extra taste. Other that that it was a hit! I also made some fresh amish bread to serve with this, which also turned out great. Thanks for the recipe!
