Made this a few times now and it is amazing. My kids hate soup yet this disappears every time I make it. Thanks Ellie!

I've made this recipe a couple of times now. It is so simple, yet very tasty. My family has been happy with it everytime. It is gobbled down with very little leftovers. We top ours with shredded cheese just before serving.

My sister and I really liked it, it was extremely filling! It was a little too "chickeny" so I think I will do about half the granules next time and will add some bacon for flavor. I skipped the celery because I didn't want to buy a whole bundle (the rest would go to waste). I added several carrots instead which gave it nice color and flavor. It also needed more spice so I dumped in some chives and garlic salt. It's a good starting base recipe that you can add to.

I made this with my left-over ham from Thanksgiving. I have to admit that I have never made soup before. This was fantastic and really easy to make. Even my husband loved it and left-overs were great! Not a bite went to waste.

Simply delicious! Prepared recipe just as it is, but found that I didn't need to add salt. The chicken bouillon was plenty. So so good. If potatoes weren't so carb heavy I'd probably have it every week. Actually will probably make it every week since it's all ingredients I stock in my pantry anyway.

This is a great recipe! I didn't measure much - I used a bag of potatoes, a few stalks of celery, a cut-up ham steak, and some onion and boiled that in chicken broth rather than the water + bouillon, and didn't need any salt or pepper. I added about 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese to the white sauce and a bunch of cooked broccoli to the veggies and ham. I also sprinkled cheese on top to assist the picky-soup eaters in the family, who did enjoy it, even the 2 year old with her "Mash T'atoe Soup." :) Thanks so much! We'll definitely make this again!!

This is one good recipe! I omitted the celery, 'cause I'm not a fan and added a few diced carrot chips. I also omiited the salt, it didn't need any extra. Otherwise, I followed the recipe. I will definitely make this again, I was very pleased with the turn out! This is MM MM Good!!!!

Super yummy! :-) My suggestions: decrease pepper to 1/4 teaspoon, decrease butter to 4 tablespoons, no salt & add a carrot.

My hubby and I just loved this soup! I was upset that I didn't double the recipe. It is now a favourite! The only thing I did different was added some shredded cabbage. My hubby had no clue it was in the soup....hehehe

So tasty! We will definitely be making this again. The only difference is we'll use the right ham next time! We boiled our Thanksgiving ham core and used the ham from that. It was stringy but still tasted yummy. I bet its even better with cubed ham! Wonderful recipe.

This is the potato soup recipe that makes all others obsolete! My hubby absolutely loves it! I double the recipe tonight to serve at church tomorrow! The only thing that I do differently is add more potatoes!

Look no further, this is fantastic. I leave out the ham, but I'm sure its good that way too. I garnish each bowl with cooked and crumbled bacon.

LOVE IT! I followed this recipe to a T (except got a little carried away with the salt) and everyone raved about it. My husband said "Keep this recipe handy", and my 4-year-old daughter said "This is the best soup EVER". Will be making again on these cold winter days/nights.

This is good stuff, especially on a cold winters day... i had to cut back a bit on the condiments, especially the pepper, but that is a matter of opinion... great recipe... and I'm a kitchen rookie... so if i can do it, so can you!

The soup was very good. Best part about it was how easy and quick it was. The only change I would do is to use a little less black pepper next time. The servings are off a little as well. 4 servings fed 2 people. Maybe thats because it was so good?
