I agree with the others that this is very good. But I would like to add that unless you're a potato fan, you might cut down the amount of potatoes by a half cup or so, and toss in one of the other recommended veggies for variety. Otherwise, I wouldn't change anything!

Fantastic! A little too much pepper for my taste, but a keeper.

Very good. Two additions I made....I substituted chicken broth for the water and then did not add the bouillon. Also, I added a teaspoon of garlic salt. Nice dish and even better the second day.

WOW WOW WOW!!! We had this last night for dinner and guess hat- we are having it again for dinner tonight!! I cheated a little. I had pork bouillons so I used one of those and 2 of the chicken bouillons. It was bursting with flavor! Thanks for such a great recipe!!

Wonderful!! A little too much pepper for my family. I didn't have ham but did have lunchmeat ham that I chopped and it worked just as well! Will make again because my husband has taken for 2 days in a row for lunch and he never takes leftovers.

Excellent. the only change I made was using boxed chicken stock instead of bullion and being a little more generous with the ham. I served it with Grandmother's Buttermilk cornbread and my husband loved it. I thought he'd complain about having SOUP for supper but he ate it up.

Another good hearty winter food that will use up that left over ham. I like celery so I increase that and add a few baby carrots to sweeten and add color, corn will do the same thing. Everyone seems to like this one and can serve with biscuits and call it a meal - it is filling.

Perfect! Sooo easy to make. This soup never lasts long in our house no matter how much we make. We have a huge pot and usually double or triple the recipe. We freeze it and just heat it up when we want a quick meal. Absolutely Perfect!!

LOVE this recipe! Very simple and easy to follow. The only thing I ever add to it is some frozen corn.

Yummmm Yummmmm!!!!!! Other than adding a little garlic powder, I didn't change anything. Topped each bowl with shredded cheddar cheese. Sooo good!! It has been rainy and dreary outside lately and this soup hit the spot. Great comfort food. If I can say my children loved it, that's HUGE. Will definitely make again.

This was great! I absolutely loved it. I only changed one thing because I like spicy food. I added a couple of diced jalapenos with the celery at the beginning to add a small kick.

By far the best soup I make! I use a ham steak cut into small pieces, 2 Knorr's chicken boullion cubes, and add half a bag of frozen corn at the end. YUMMO!!!!

the white sauce was a too thin, so i added more flour. not a god idea- the soup just tasted like flour. i added cheese and green onion on top- thank goodness for the green onion to mask the flour! i would def make this again and be sure to have instant potato flakes on hand!
