To make more results, I added about 3 cups cooked brown rice instead of only one cup and a little extra chicken stock. It was great!

LOVED this! I changed a few things. I added chopped up broccoli, skipped the crackers and just put on homemade bread crumbs, added a little mozzarella cheese under the bread crumbs and used diced cooked chicken that I pulled from the freezer. It was a good recipe to build on though. My two year old and 7 month old both gobbled it up!

I think it's better with a pasta instead of rice, like rigatoni, just pour the whole pound of pasta in there.

Great recipe --I've made it lots of times. Just a few adjustments:1-1/4 cups rice (usually a mix of wild and regular rice) I use 98% fat free cream of chicken soup (actually tastes better with this) Real garlic, celery and onion (to take out the extra salt content. The onion can be dried minced onion). A lot of pepper. Marjoram (just because I like it in everything)

Good recipe - my family liked it and even had seconds. Baked without the crackers on top and worked great.

I'm only giving it 4 stars b/c I made some simple changes to the recipe. I used one can of cream of mushroom soup along with one can of cream of chicken. I added diced onions and shredded Cheddar before baking. I also used boneless chicken breasts, so I could cook it faster. Absolutely delicious!!

This recipe would be better with cheddar cheese and a little more seasoning.

This is a very good chicken casserole. My husband who hates casserole's even enjoyed it. I did like other's and made 1 cup uncooked rice. I personally did not care for the cracker crumb top, nor did my husband. The next time we make this we will do without that.

I have made this many times, as written and with major modifications. Regardless it is still really good. I have thrown in broccoli, shredded cheddar, chopped cooked green peppers and onions, a little thyme, some celery seed. I've substituted cream of celery soup for chicken. Whatever I have on hand. You can throw in just about whatever type of leftover veggies you have and seems like no matter what I add it comes out good. The one thing I always do is add more rice, usually at least 2 cups, sometimes 3. Thanks for the recipe.

When I had my 2nd child, a woman from my church brought me a casserole very similar to this. My husband begged me to get the recipe but she kept forgetting. I found this recipe and believe it is just about the same thing. I skip the broth step as I usually don't keep celery around. I also use one can cream of chicken and one can cream of celery. I like more rice than indicated in the original recipe, I use 3 cups cooked rice (1 cup uncooked long grain).I sometimes add finely diced onions. It is great comfort food either way. Tastes great served with a slightly sweet dinner roll.

Loved it. I used a half a cup of broth which was plenty. Best Chicken and Rice ever. My daughter thought Rachel Ray made it.

Really, really excellent casserole. Kids ate it, and 2 year old asked for seconds (never happens!). My husband had thirds, and had to stop himself from going back for more! Made it pretty much as the recipe called, used rotisserie chicken seasoning instead of the individual spices, and added a (drained) can of french cut green beans to sneak some veggies in on the kids. YUMMY!

This is pretty good, and my family really enjoys it. I've made it several times because it gets rave reviews. However, I gave it four stars instead of five because I made a few changes. I only use two to three chicken breasts and don't make my own homemade broth. I also use two cups of rice (brown rice, which I cooked in store-bought chicken broth instead of adding broth to the mixture), one can of cream of chicken and one of cream of celery, 1/2 tsp of garlic powder, 1 tablespoon of dried minced onion instead of the onion powder, and I added about 1 1/2 to 2 cups of chopped broccoli. I also mixed a cup of sharp cheddar in with the rest of the ingredients and then topped the whole thing with another cup of cheddar and the crushed crackers. I skipped adding the butter to the crackers. It turned out pretty darn good, and my whole family enjoyed it. It was also pretty easy to make, and is fairly easy to adjust to suit your tastes so I'd definitely recommend it.

I love this. Using the stock from cooking the chicken in the casserole is a great idea, and I used two cups of it in which to cook the rice, which enhanced the flavor as well.
