Wonderful! And a fast meal too! Omitted bell pepper and jalepeno since I was out of them but added in part of a can of mild green chili peppers. Increased the cilantro since we really like the flavor. Also, added in some jicama salad that I had left over in the fridge from the recipe "Jicama Salad with Cilantro and Lime" on this site. If you haven't tried jicama, please do so. I add the jicama just prior to rolling the burritos, since it does not need to be heated.

I made mine with the Mission Spinach and Herb tortillas (the green ones) because I thought that photo by "DetectiveL" looked good. At least for the brand I used, the tortillas were WRONG for the dish. Gave a weird, identifiable as just the tortilla as the issue, flavor. The filling was great. I used some Anaheim chilies in addition to the minced jalepeno, but it still wasn't spicy, for reference. Very tasty regardless.

this was one of the few highly rated recipes on this sight that i was completely unimpressed by - very bland. i had to add 3x the salt to make it acceptable

I loved this recipe - though I used soaked black beans - instead of can, dashed a little extra seasoning on it and omitted the bell peppers since my family does not care for them. I served mine with cut up avocado for more tex-mex taste and ate leftovers for lunch for a week straight. LOVED IT!!!! Also - topped it with pepperjack cheese and it was SSOO DELISH!!

Could use more flavor, but is delicious with some salsa, mexican cheese, and sour cream. Very quick to make!

Need to add cumin. Mild Rotel makes it too spicy for the kids. Add tomatoes and green chilies. Only half block of cream cheese.

Wonderful recipe----my guys asked for this again this week! Changes I made: 1.Used fat-free cream cheese and reduced-fat tortilla shells. 2.Boiled/shredded chicken breasts to up the protein. 3.Added a can(including liquid) chopped green chiles and a little salsa, to prevent the shredded chicken from drying the filling out. 4. The reduced-fat shells were a little dry looking, so I thickened a can of enchilada sauce and poured it over the top/sides. Topped with a little fat-free cheddar and just heated through in the oven. Next time, I might add the fat-free cheddar to the top after I heat the burritos/sauce in the oven to prevent it from forming that 'crust' on top. Thanks for this wonderful recipe!

Delicious. Added diced fresh tomatoes and used low fat cream cheese. Added my own recipe for rice (sauteed onions and garlic, add jasmine rice, chicken stock, and 1 tsp. cumin - cook per directions for rice - remove from heat and add chopped cilantro). Will definitely make these again.

This is an awesome recipe, that is simple and easy to prepare. The recipe makes two very large portions, that actually could feed four people. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Update 7-18-09: I have made this numerous times since this original review. Sometimes I follow the recipe strictly, other times I change it up. I've substituted one diced habanero pepper in place of the jalapeno for more heat, and I have also tossed a few diced up sun dried tomatoes in the mix giving it a subtle sweetness along with the extra heat. In all forms I have enjoyed this recipe thoroughly.

Tasty, easy, and filling. Instead of jalapeno I served canned green chiles on the side. Made them again using pinto beans and less cream cheese - a very flexible, useful recipe.

Tweaking - Used a whole red pepper by accident, used a small amount of pickled jalapeno (due to someone not happy with fresh), used regular parsley, not cilantro (forgot to purchase). Added up to a delicious burrito with melted cheese, lettuce, tomato on top and a side of guacamole and Mexican rice.

Outstanding. I added about 1/2 tsp of chipotle chili powder, a 1/2 cup of canned corn and left out the bell pepper. Added shredded cheese, sour cream and fresh chopped tomato before rolling up. These are wonderful and I didn't miss the meat. This is for sure a keeper!

This was a great recipe for "meatless mondays." I added corn like some reviewers mentioned and added some Spanish rice. It tasted just like a Chipotle Burrito :) (guess I don't need to go there any longer, hah!)

This recipe is GREAT. My fiance doesn't like black beans or onions, but he loved this recipe. We ate it with toasted pita bread. The only thing I altered was the jalapenos instead I used red pepper flakes. It was a tiny bit spicy with lots of flavor.

Pretty good! The cream cheese is the secret to this one, and it makes the consistency just wonderful! I added fresh tomatoes and a bit of Mexican rice to this and it was superb.
