Apple slices are dusted with cinnamon, piled into an 8-inch square pan, and topped with a crumbly flour, sugar and egg mixture, with a bit of baking powder stirred in. Then it 's dusted with sugar and cinnamon, and slipped into the oven.

A great combination of apples and cranberries with a crispy topping. A favorite at Thanksgiving instead of plain cranberries.

With applesauce, this apple crisp offers twice the apple goodness of others. Applesauce, brown sugar and cinnamon are combined, and stirred into sliced apples. The mixture is then piled into a large baking dish and topped with sugar. The crisp is then baked in the oven for one hour.

A no-fuss, very delicious version of apple crisp, sliced apples, sugar, cinnamon and flour are stirred together and then piled into a square baking pan. Melted butter and a beaten egg, mixed with a flour, sugar and cinnamon mixture are spread over the top and the Best Apple Crisp Ever is baked in the oven until bubbly and crisp.

I devised this recipe when I was trying to use up that leftover homemade cranberry sauce from Thanksgiving! You could probably also use canned whole cranberry sauce for this recipe.

I don't usually like 'baking' with the microwave, but this recipe works great. The topping comes out crispy on top, moist inside, and delicious all around. It's a wonderful dessert that's quick and easy to make. Best served warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped topping.
