I made this in the fall and haven't had a chance to rate it. It is the best deer recipe I've made...very good and easy! My family loved it!

Excellent recipe. You don't even know that it is venison. It has a nice barbecue taste. My husband is not a fan of venison but loves this recipe. Highly recommend and it is easy to make.

I must say this is an awesome quick recipe that I've made many times already. I've never had venison before trying this recipe as a friend gave us some fresh venison meat so I had to do something with it. My husband loves it and the first time I tried it not knowing what to expect with the taste, wow it was amazing. Thanks for this recipe........ Cheers!

Pretty good, tastes like my grandmas swiss steak. I think that 6 hrs is WAY too long if you slice it in thin strips. It was dried out. Other that that it tasted great.

This is a fantastic recipe! I tried it with tough meat from the shoulder and it still came out tender! I also used BBQ sauce in place of ketchup. Will definetly use again.

My husband and son really liked this. It has a sweet, barbeque taste. I liked how easy it was to make and will definately make it for them again!

I didn't even brown the meat first. I just placed directly in the slow cooker and added the liquid mixture. It is very tasty.

Thank you! I could never eat venison chops, although I enjoy other cuts. I used this recipe over the weekend and it was good, even enjoyable.

I thought this was a great recipe, but I like venison. I added a little more ketchup because it was too oniony for my husband. Even better as leftovers and served on a bun!!

My husband is a deer hunter, and I don't care for wild meat, but this is one recipe that I actually enjoy. I make it exactly as is - no need for changes.

This recipe was FANTASTIC! I can't believe how tender and delicious the meat was. It literally fell apart, which is hard to get venison to do. Wouldn't change a thing. Thanks so much.

The first time I made this dish it was a hit. The second time I made it I used the sauce added a little more brown sugar, and added it to canned venison that I had shredded and mixed it all together and served it as venison BBQ on buns, it was an even bigger hit!!!!

I made this with top round steak instead of venison meat. It was delicious. It was just a tad sweeter than I like, so I think next time I'll use a little less than the 1/2 c of brown sugar...just my preference. I will definitely make this again. And I did it in the oven rather than the crockpot. I will try it with deer next time.

This was delicious! It's easy and used just a few ingredients that are usually on hand. I served it with white rice, but my husband says it's just like the way his mother used to make it and she served it with egg noodles. For those who don't like venison, they probably wouldn't be able to tell it's not beef. A+ recipe--a keeper!
