Chicken and Turkey Marinade

Submitted by: Elaine Maxwell
This would be fun to do for your Thanksgiving turkey. Oregano, sage and thyme are mixed in with lemon juice, oil and soy sauce, along with a few other delicious ingredients. Just let your turkey marinate overnight in the fridge and then cook as usual.

Deep-frying a turkey takes place outdoors. A twelve pound turkey will cook for about 45 minutes. A whole peeled onion is used to keep the three gallons of oil from scorching.

Serve your holiday crowd a fabulous, fork-tender lamb braise. Oregano, garlic, onion, bay leaves, and white wine meld with sour orange juice - or sweet oranges mixed with lemons - to make a pungent, citrus marinade.

This straight Kentucky sour mash bourbon marinade is perfect for grilling beef, chicken and pork. It's great for boneless chicken breasts, steaks, chops, smoked ribs, brisket or pork roast. Adding a little smoke with hickory, mesquite or apple wood compliments the flavor nicely.

This is a very simple, but very tasty marinade for pork tenderloin. My husband also likes it on Ribs. Can be served with any kind of potato, or rice and vegetable.

'Lemon and garlic flavor the meat, while raisins and shredded carrot add sweetness and color to the couscous stuffing.'
