These definatly were my favorite brownie to make! I just made them this morning. I took the others advice and omitted the baking powder, and one egg. I doubled the recipe [used 4 eggs] and put in 2/3 cup semi sweet chocolate chips, they were perfect! Just the right amount of chocolate! I also frosted them with peanut butter frosting [found from this site] and drizzled melted chocolate over them! They looked amazing and tasted even better! Thank you!

Definitely a GREAT recipe. The first batch I used 2 eggs and no baking powder and 3/4 c cocoa. GREAT perfect consistancy, but maybe too much chocolate. The second batch, I omitted 1 egg and the baking powder again and it was perfect. The recipe is easy, quick and doubles nicely.

These were delicious! The only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I did not follow the recipe as written and took others' advice and omitted one egg and the baking powder.

I wanted a recipe for a small batch of thick tasty brownies and this is it. I followed the recipe exactly and loved the outcome. I put a few brownies in the freezer for later. I shall continue to use this recipe as I always have these ingredients on hand. Thanks for sharing.

Great texture, great taste. There is no reason to omit the baking powder. I made a batch with and without and the baking powder gave them a slightly lighter texture. It made enough of a difference to make it worth putting it in.

These were my first attempt at from scratch brownies. Almost everything I make is from scratch so I thought I'd give it a try. I was a little worried while they were baking it looked a little more like cake than brownies. I let them cool and couldn't believe how good they were. I followed the recipe exactly and they came out perfect. As long as you take them out when the toothpick test says they're almost done, they'll be nice and fudgey. We finished off half the pan last night alone. I recommend trying these exactly as they are before you see what else you can do with them. But definitely a great base for many variations.

OMG!!!! Ok, I've never made "home made" brownies before, but now I'll only make these! I did, however, leave out the baking powder and decrease the eggs, and I added chocolate chips and walnuts. So awesome!!!!! No more boxed brownie mixes for me! Thanks :)

I followed the suggestions of other reviewers... used only 1/4 tsp baking, powder 2 eggs, and used brown sugar for 1/2 of the sugar... and the result was the BEST BROWNIES EVER!

These were delicious! I cut down the eggs- I doubled the recipe and used 4 instead of 6. I also froze one cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips the night before, added 3/4 a cup to the mixture, and sprinkled the remaining 1/4 on top after about 15 minutes baking in the oven. Once again, delicious!

After trying this recipe, I threw out my other 2 brownie recipes. Whoever it was that called these "life-changing" was not exaggerating. I only used 2 eggs and left out the baking powder, per the prior reviews. I will make these again and again.

These were really good. I used dutch process cocoa because of the baking powder in the recipe. They were nice and chocolaty without the bitter aftertaste of natural cocoa. I only used 2 eggs, cuz that's all I had, and added 1/2 cup of chocolate chips. They were perfect. I baked for only 37 mins so they stayed fudgy but with the rise of the cake type brownie. They were chewy, fudgy and had that shiny top that brownies should have. Perfect, I loved them!

THE BEST BROWNIES! This is definitely a keeper! Look no further. I did change a few things as some other reviewers suggested: I used 2 eggs, 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa, added 1 cup semisweet baking chips, and omitted the baking powder completely. The brownies came out dense, very chocolatey rich mmmm, and stayed moist for days! Great reviews from co-workers too.

These were okay. I followed the recipe exactly as stated but just weren't exactly what I was looking for. May try again and follow others suggestions. **Make sure no one runs, jumps, slams the oven door while cooking these or they may fall down in the middle as my first batch did**
