Recipe was delicious as is. Will take the place of my slow cooker recipe. Didn't seem spicy at first, but did as we continued to eat. Used 3 tbsp med/hot chili powder (Penzey's).

I used ground turkey and minced garlic instead of powder and it turned out really good! It was for a Superbowl party and we made chili cheese fries. I baked the frozen crinkle cut fries and used the cheese sauce in the jar that's mixed with salsa and sour cream on the side...yum! It was so easy too.

This is a terrific recipe. Because we like spicy dishes, I followed a previous reviewer's suggestion and added two jars of salsa. My husband even ate this for breakfast one morning! Thanks for the recipe.

I made this for dinner the other night and am surprised that after everyone had "just a little taste" before dinner that there was enough left to make it to the table! This is the best chili I have ever had and a definite keeper. I added a little cocoa to it and I had some leftover Rotele tomatoes from another dish I had made so I added those to the recipe...the chili would have been just as great without those additions, too. A five star rating!!

Wonderful, loved it! I didn't use the whole amount of chili seasoning. Used 1 can of great northern beans.

I gave this 4 stars based on being a great starting point, but I think the yummy factor really depends on the type of salsa and chili seasoning you use. Whatever combo I used was yummy. However, I did doctor it up with a variety of spices to add some heat. I think next time I will blend some chipotle chiles and mix it with an additional can of tomato sauce instead of the salsa though. I wanted more flavor and more of a kick. Anyway, this is how I served it: I baked potatoes, cut them in half, and carved out a bit of the middle. Then I filled the potatoes with chili and covered it with cheddar cheese and green onions. I plopped the potatoe on a hearty ladel full of chili on a plate, and then sprinkled a good handful of fritos on top. I had sour cream and jalepenos on the side as extras. This meal was gobbled up. 5 stars all around from my mom, dad, and husband.

Excellent recipe for "easy" chili. I only used half the beef. and I also added an extra half teaspoon of chili powder, as well as about eight dashes of franks hot sauce...Awesome

Quick, easy & delicious! I added a little chopped jalapeno pepper for zing and a can tomato soup w/ 1 can water only because I didn't have enough tomato sauce. Also used black beans. This is a keeper!

What a great recipe! I had to cook a pot of chili for a Superbowl party and this looked easy and had great reviews. Since I had to cook for 25, I had to re-calculate (which is a great feature on All Recipes, BTW)and didn't use as much meat. Used 1/2 g beef and 1/2 turkey. Also, I used 1 can of diced tomatoes w/ green chiles, which took it up another notch, but not too hot. I will most definitely use this again!

Delicious! I followed the directions exactly. Tastes very much like Wendy's Chili. I used McCormicks Original Chili Seasoning Mix in the envelope. One envelope is exactly 4 Tablespoons. I also used Mild Chunky Salsa. The chili still had a little kick to it.

This is the best chili I have ever eaten. I used a 28 oz can of crushed tomatoes (Italian style) instead of the tomato sauce, but followed the rest of the recipe. Delicious!!!

If you use 2 cups medium ace picante sauce with this, instead of one cup salsa, you will have the most awesome chili! believe me, I have made this many times!

This chili is delicious. We just ate it for our Super Bowl dinner, along with cheddar & jalapeno bread, & the usual chili toppings. I added chopped poblano peppers along with a couple cups of water while cooking. I used a combination of pinto & kidney beans. I started it on the stove then transferred it to the slow cooker on low for about five hours. Thanks, Deb!

I have been looking for a good, easy chili recipe and this one rocks! I doubled it, and used 2 cans of dice tomates plus 3 cans of 8 oz. tomato sauce. I also added red and green bell peppers. I put it together as instructed, simmered on the stove, and then put it in the crockpot on low while we were at church...came home to the best chili I have ever had! My husband raved, I think we have a keeper here!
