Verrry Good! I added half of a jalapeno that I had in the fridge and I only used 1 lb of "meat" (I used vegetarian soy crumbles). I used two 15 oz cans of tomato sauce and a 16oz jar of salsa. I threw all ingredients in a crock pot (since the soy crumbles are already cooked you can do that) and cooked on high for over an hour. Turned out fantastic!

Warning! If you like your chili spicy, this is the recipe for you. I enjoyed this chili the way I prepared it, but would have found it too hot if I had made it exactly as written. I cut the amount of ground black pepper in half and used mild Pace Picante Sauce instead of medium or hot. Be sure to read Deb's additional advice (currently listed as the most helpful review) in which she recommends using Williams Chili Seasoning and Pace Picante Sauce. This is a great recipe that you can easily tweak to suit your own taste. Thanks Deb.

This is the best tasting chili I have ever had. My only complaint it that it is WAY too thick for my taste. I will be adding a can of tomato soup next time and will continue to alter to get it to my personal preference for thickness. Flavor-wise, though, the best ever. Thanks!

This is amazing chili! It was my first ever time making it and it was a simple and fun recipe to follow. I halved the recipe. I added a little more than 1-1/4 cup of spaghetti sauce and a little more than half of the chili seasoning packet, added 3/4 chopped green bell pepper, 2-3 tablespoons of hot cocoa mix, and 3 jalapenos(one de-seeded, 2 regular). Love it! Thanks for an awesome recipe!

Great and easy chili recipe. Very versatile... Next time I think I'll cut back on the beef and add mushrooms in its place!

I followed the recipe as posted with the exception of adding some water and extra chili spice. It had a great flavor and consistency!! Will definitely make again!

I haven't even begun to simmer this yet and it already tastes much better than the chili I made by Emeril Lagasse. YUMMY

My husband says that this was the best chili I made so far! I accidentally added a whole 16 oz jar of picante sauce, but I was glad I did. Since we like it spicy I added more seasonings such as more chili powder, cumin, fajita seasoning, and a dash of cayenne.

This is my first Chili, and I just love it so much, I'm going to keep making it, and I am the kinda person who always changes up things, whereas this, is just right, and easy! I do like to use 1lb ground turky, and 1lb ground beaf.

My hole family loved this! Its a wonderful foundation recipe that anything can be added to it. We added corn and pureed the beans so my son would eat it. Wonderful! THX for recipe.

This chili is so good, and so darn easy to make. I made the recipe exactly as written and it got raves. I have to comment on a couple of things that aren't specified or are optional. You need to drain the beans. Maybe that's a given, but it didn't specify, and being a new cook, I wasn't sure. Also, I would highly recommend draining the grease. I have made it both ways and it's much better when made with drained meat. But quite delicious regardless! 5 stars, period!

This was fabulous..the best and easiest chili I have ever made! Based on other reviews I of course had some additions. While browning the meat, I added a whole onion with some garlic. To the chili, I added 1 can (15oz) of pinto beans, a whole (16oz) jar of salsa, and 1 (15oz) can of diced tomatoes with green chiles. To spice it up, I added ceyenne pepper, oregano, basil, and brown sugar. My coworkers all raved!

This is the 1st time I've ever made chili. It was extremely easy. Used mild salsa and my husband and I loved it. He said it tasted better than his dads! Using a tip from here, I used 1 can of ranch beans instead of one of the cans of kidney beans. Tastes better than any canned chili I've ever tried!!
