This is my go-to chili recipe! Great as-is or you can add some peppers for extra heat. Serve with cornbread and enjoy a great meal!

I've made this two different ways; original as written which is awesome and easy!!! The second way was for a batch and a half. I added 1 lb Italian sausage, a can of black beans and the Pace Picante sauce I used was mild, so I added 1/8 tesp ground cayenne pepper. All other ingredients were the same with the amounts adjusted for 12 servings. RAVE reviews from everyone at the potluck that day and the pot was empty!

This is an awesome and super easy recipe! I kind of tweaked though because I didn't have everything in my pantry. I didn't have premade chili seansoning so I made my own chili seasoning with chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt, cayenne pepper, pinch of corriander, garlic powder, marjoram, and paprika. I had dark kidney beans, but I didn't have light kidney beans. I had ranch style beans with sliced jalepeno's which was an awesome substitute that I will probably use forever now! I also used a high quality organic lean ground beef which seriously is way more flavorful than the stuff in the plastic rounds. I didn't have tomato sauce either so I used tomato paste and made sauce out of it. And wow does mild pace picante make the biggest difference ever versus your plain diced tomatos! My husband said this was the best beef chili that I have ever made and it was so easy. He wants me to make this every week now. Awesome recipe! this will def be a staple dinner in my house!

Oh man. SOO good. I think it's the Pace Picante Medium salsa that does it. Really liked this and super easy. I halved the recipe and there was plenty.

This chili recipe is amazing! I have made it a number of times, and have made minor changes that make it taste even better in my opinion. I use 2-3 pounds of ground turkey and use two full packages of chili seasoning. I also cut down on the tomato sauce and increase the salsa. I use a 14 oz container of rojos restaurant style salsa as well along with a 12 oz - 16 oz container of salsa verde with tomatillos and cilantro. I also add 1 tablespoon of brown sugar. Yum!!

Very hearty, easy and tasty. I made the taco seasoning without chili powder from this site for the chili seasoning mix and it worked out very well though my personal preference would have called for less paprika.

Great! I made it using ground turkey & a chili seasoning recipe from this site. Everyone raved. In the future I think I'd add some other stuff to it to make it more interesting but as is the recipe is great

PERFECTION. As an extreme beginner, this recipe was easy and delicious! Something I plan to serve at the next family gathering without a doubt. It is easy enough to change how spicy it is by changing up what kind of salsa you go with, which means I will definitely be continuing to experiment with this one.
