Original Recipe Yield 16 brownies
 

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cake flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 tablespoons chocolate syrup
  • 1/2 cup applesauce
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup white sugar

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
  2. Combine the applesauce, egg whites, chocolate syrup and sugar. Blend in the flours, cocoa and baking powder. Mix until the batter is smooth. Pour the batter into one 13x9 inch pan.
  3. Bake at 325 F (165 degrees C) for 20 to 25 minutes.
