I sauteed the onion, red pepper and garlic in a bit of canola oil separately and added 1/3 lb hot pork sausage to the hamburger. Also added an extra half can of pinto beans, a cup of frozen corn.

great recipe! i substituted rotel (diced tom & green chilies) for the diced tomato for more heat - the Pace chunky salsa was perfect!

I made this just like the recipe said. It wasn't even close to tasting like chili. Plastic & cheap.

This was good. I tried to follow the recipe as exactly as I could. I liked the taco sauce addition. Very good, my husband and I loved it.

Delicious recipe. I made a few changes using the ingredients I had on hand. I used the veggie meat crumbles from Morningstar Farms instead of ground beef which greatly reduces the cooking time (30 minutes). Instead of spaghetti sauce, I used a can of tomato sauce. This chili was outstanding! My husband is a die-hard carnivore and didn't notice the meat substitution. This is a keeper.

By far the best chili I have ever tasted. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! The only thing I modified was -- bought diced tomatoes with olive oil and garlic, substituted the kidney beans with actual chili beans (mild), added 1 can of tomato soup to tone down the spiciness some & 1/2 soup can of water to give it a little more soupy consistency...YUM, YUM, YUM!
