Easy enough to make, just not what I expected. Did not care for this one and neither did my family. Will not make again.

Very tasty. Deinately add the salt when you add the beef, as it needs it. I also used the garlic cream of mushroom soup, which added a little flavor. Following other reviews, I added a whole onion, added 1/2 cup of red wine instead of the water and white wine, and used fresh mushrooms added at the last hour in lieu of the canned.

Easy and delicious, I highly recommend this recipe for Stroganoff. I followed the recipe exactly, with the exception of using red wine, adding one more garlic clove, and mixing together the ingredients in step one before pouring them over the beef and onions in the pot. Served over noodles, this dish was full of wonderful flavor. Enjoy!

This is a great recipe for rib steaks! It's what I had on hand to use and it turned out great! This is what I did to tweak it a bit: 3 rib steaks, bone-in with salt and pepper seasoning; 1 envelope of onion mushroom dry soup mix on top; added 4 ounce can of mushrooms & stems; diluted can of cream of mushroom with half can water, worcestershire sauce, garlic and poured that over the beef; added the wine & flour mix after that and set it off to cook for 7 hours. I didn't have the full amount of sour cream on hand so I used the very little amount of stuff I put on baked potatoes that already has onion and chives mixed in. After it was all said and done, minus the bones and some fat from the meat, I would certainly make this recipe again hands down. Serve it with egg noodles for a crowd pleasing dinner!

This stroganoff was delicious, but I'm only giving it four stars because I made quite a few changes, using past reviews as a guide. I used stew meat instead of round steak. I omitted the water entirely and used red wine instead of white. I used two cloves of garlic and increased the Worcestershire sauce to a tablespoon. I cut the amount of sour cream in half and added four ounces of cream cheese, and I added these two ingredients during the last half-hour of cooking. I added a tablespoon of cornstarch when I added the sour cream and cream cheese. I omitted the parsley and mushrooms, as I did not have any on hand. I cooked it for four hours on high. The final product was great with these additions/changes. Thanks!

Really good! As usual, made some changes according to previous reviews (S&P, beef bouillion, jarred mushrooms as didn't have fresh), and worked great. Will definitely do again.

I too used Sara's suggestions, and she's right on the money. I DO love garlic, so I added three cloves and would kick it up to four cloves next time around.

My boyfriend made this for me at my suggestion. He followed Sara's recipe in the 8/07 review but used 1/2 red onion and 1/2 white onion. It was excellant. Good flavor. Suggestion...use a dry wine.

I give this five stars simply because this is one of the best tasting slow-cooker recipes we have tasted. I still prefer non-slow-cooker beef stroganoff recipes over this, but from the perspective of convenience and taste, it's a keeper!

Very good. Instead of chives, I added parsley and used Marsala Wine for the wine. Instead of mushrooms in the can, I added fresh mushrooms and 2 tbsp of flour to thicken up the sauce. It was a very filling meal & I highly recommend it.

I also followed the review suggestions made by Sara and otherwise followed the rest of the recipe. I used eye of round steaks since I had them on hand, and they crumbled in the crockpot. Next time I will use a heartier cut of meat. Anyway, this recipe is awesome! I've been craving some good stroganoff and this hits the spot. I can't to feed it to my beef-loving husband. This will definitely be an addition to the regular rotation.

Simple easy recipe. We get tired of beef stew in the slow cooker and this was a nice change. Instead of water, I added 1/2 can of beef broth to instensify flavor.

This recipe was average at best. I felt the flavor was slightly askew. The tangy white wine and sour cream clashed with the mellow taste of the mushrooms. I recommend changing these seasonings for better results.

Excellent! Very easy to throw together. I doubled the recipe and used red wine instead of white, 3 cloves fresh garlic, added extra flour at the end to thicken more and also used one 8 oz. cream cheese - no sour cream. The canned mushrooms make a great addition. It's a keeper! Thanks for sharing!
