I make this weekly I double the amount of marinade and reserve some for drizzling over the cooked chicken on a bed of rice. I thicken it before drizzling over. Yum

I know I've got a keeper when the first thing out of my husbands mouth is "We have to do this one again!". Loved this recipe with some tweaks. I used a little less vinegar, and added a tablespoon of minced garlic in place of the garlic salt. I added two teaspoons of sweet curry, and a half teaspoon of hot curry powders. On the sugar, I just kept adding pinches and tasting until I felt it was a good sweet/sour balance, about a 1/4 cup or so all together. I also added a drizzle of EVOO. Marinated the chicken about 6 hours or so. Hubs grilled to perfection. Loved this, and we will use this recipe many more times! Thanks, for such a versitile & delicious recipe, Nancy.

this was great BUT ... seems like alot of work and ingredients for a taste similar to other marinades. maybe i need to let it soak longer or double the curry. i was looking for a WOW and got eh. i think i got a bigger wow just sprinkling curry directly on chicken tho

A keeper for sure. I always read reviews when trying a new recipe and followed the suggestion of others and increased the spices. I cut the sugar in half, used garlic powder instead of garlic salt and even added a couple drops of hot sauce. I whisked the sauce instead of getting the blender out, tasting and adjusting as I did. Hubby loved this one and wanted to be sure I 'kept the recipe'.

I loved this, but have to admit that I increased the paprika, curry powder by 4-fold and ketchup and salt by 2-fold. I also took another reviewer's advice and used a large clove of fresh garlic. I actually tasted the marinade to get to these approximate increases. I was afraid that otherwise, the vinegar would have overpowered. Made a lot of marinade. UPDATE: Using basalmic vinegar adds so much without the hard acid from regular vinegar. Also, even more fresh garlic. Marinate overnight. If you want the most flavorful standard BBQ chicken ever, brush the chicken with BBQ sauce while cooking. Really some of the best chicken I've had in a long time.

This tasted good, but barely like curry. It's more like a tangy barbecued chicken. So, a bit misleading to call it Curry Grilled Chicken. I'll probably try to make up my own recipe, rather than try this one again.

I made this recipe yesterday. And I must say it is absolutely delicious. I only changed a few things. I added extra curry powder, onion powder and garlic powder. I also added cayenne pepper in addition to the paprika. I did not have any boneless skinless breasts, so I used a whole frying chicken, cut in half. I made the marinade on Friday and let the chicken marinate for two days. I will definitely make this recipe again. Thanks for submitting it!

I made this recipe only instead of grilling it I cooked it in the slow cooker. It turned out really good. My house smelled lovely too! The only reason I gave it 4 stars was becuase I found the chicken a little dry for my taste - but I may have left it in the slow cooker too long.
