Such a good dish and is a very short time. A great alternative for left over Turkey.

Pretty simple to prepare and very tasty. I didn't know what kind of apple to use so I ended up using a combination of golden delicious and granny smith. I couldn't really distinguish the difference. I also added eggplant to the apple onion mix and due to its tendency to absorb liquid I ended adding some chicken broth. I used a little more curry than called for (Bombay and Sweet curry) and added a little Garam Masala. The dish was a hit...definitely needs something green served with it!

I would do this again. Easy and quick. I added turmeric to add some color and more curry than stated. Also some minced cloves of garlic for flavor. I added frozen baby peas for even more color. This is a good basic recipe to play with..I used brown rice and topped each serving with unsweetened coconut, raisins and diced mango. This ended up being quite exotic.

This was pretty good. I used coconut milk and a half cup of chic broth instead of bouillon. Added another tsp of curry powder and a half tsp of red pepper flakes. Also put in some peas with the turkey. Good use of leftovers!

It's a great comfort food meal - but I agree with the rest, needs more curry! I used Granny Smith Apples with the peels on and they really kept their own flavour - I don't think the apples complemented the curry as well as they could have. Really don't know that the turkey/apples/curry matched eachother as well as they could have. Perhaps adding some cinnamon/cardamom/ginger to the curry would bring the flavours together a little more?

I made a substitution: turkey stock and powdered milk for milk and bouillon cubes. I used less than 1/4 c oil, too ... just a few tablespoons. I kicked it up with a little more curry powder (1 T total) and a sprinkle of garam masala. I agree that the flavors mix well with the turkey! I will definitely make this again.

this was great for my thanksgiving leftovers. I substituted, one cup of my leftover turkey stock for one cup of the milk and the chicken bouillon and I used apple cider in place of the lemon juice. I will say that the curry flavor was very mild and next time I plan on using a bit more curry.

I was really surprised at how good this tasted. The only change I made was to add raisins in with the apples and onions. Next time, I will make it vegetarian by omitting the turkey and increasing the apples, raisins, and onions. Maybe even add some potatoes.

I give this 5 stars because it's a great idea for using up leftover turkey, and something different from the typical casserole. First of all I halved the recipe for 3. I did jazz it up based on other reviews, I added more spice (1 heaping tsp curry, 1/4 tsp garam masala, 1/4 tsp cinnamon). I substituted the apples for 1 cup potatoes, 1/2 cup each carrots and peas (parboiled together until crisp tender to save on pots). For color I added 1/2 cup tomato sauce. I also sauteed 1 large clove of garlic with the onion along with the spices along with the flour. I also added 1/2 cup chicken broth to the milk along with the OXO cube. I used the dark meat from the turkey for the additional flavor. The result was plenty creamy, and there was enough sauce for the additional vegetables. I did forget the lemon juice, and it was fine without. Served with Jasmine rice, it was a great weekday meal, that didn't take long to cook...my kind of recipe.

This is a great recipe if you have picky children. It's not overly spicy, but still has a distinct flavor. I used 1 cup vegetable broth and 1 cup half and half. This recipe has made it into our regular rotation. We love it.
