This is so good! I did make a few changes. I used chunk pineapple instead of grapes, toasted pecans instead of peanuts, 2 tsp curry powder, dash of salt and pepper and 2 tablespoons apricot preserves instead of lemon juice in the dressing. Definitely make this ahead and let it chill for at least an hour, the flavors develop so much in that time. Really loved it after that!

Mixes up so quick and easy! Per another suggestion, I used apple as I didn't have any grapes - was great with the apple, but I think the grapes would certainly add a lot! Will try about 1T curry powder and cashews next time....will even try making with chicken. Quite delicious for a quick sandwich!

Wonderful salad! My husband asks for it all the time. I did it first with left over turkey and we loved it. Since we don't usually care much for left over turkey, this was a wonderful surprise. I am now making it with chicken - left over from a rotisserie chicken or cook up chicken breasts just to make the salad. I do add about 3 teaspoons of curry since it seemed to need a little more than called for. When out of grapes, I have used diced apple. I have also used lime juice when I didn't have lemon juice on hand and that was also very good. I have used peanuts or whatever nuts are on hand - mixed, cachews, pecans - all good. I've found that we like to add a slice or two of sweet onion, finely diced. I do not add the sugar.

Very tasty. I used leftover Christmas turkey and added some chopped apples. Used cashews rather than peanuts. Even the kids ate it. I think this recipe is a keeper.

The best turkey salad I've ever had. The curry powder makes it out of the ordinary. I used pecans instead of peanuts because I had them in the pantry.

Excellent basic recipe. I love curry, so this hit the spot. I didn't have grapes, so I soaked raisins and used them. Used almonds in place of peanuts. Threw in some chopped apple, didn't have celery, so I used some celery seed. Next time I'm going to put add some pineapple and add some rice and make it burrito style!

Yummy! My alterations: Miracle Whip instead of mayo, soaked raisins instead of grapes, and added some onion. Served it on toasted buns with a little pile of shredded carrot on top of the salad.

This is good- I liked the grapes, celery, and nuts. I used cashews because they just "go" better with this type of thing, I think. I scaled it down to 3 servings (still made a lot) and used extra curry and light mayo.

This was ok, but not as good as I thought it would be and I love curry. I should have put the turkey through the food processor. I shredded all white meat and it was kind of dry, even a day after I made it. It needs something, I just don't know what it is.

I made this for my boyfriend who orders curry anything anywhere we go out to eat - He LOVED it. We both find it incredibly addicting - I made slight changes - I add use red grapes instead of green, chicken instead of turkey, almonds instead of peanuts, and I add raisins and shredded carrot (the carrot is mostly for color). This recipe is incredible - I dont usually post reviews but this one rocked our world!

My mom has been making this recipe for years, adding cubed canned pineapple and sliced water chestnuts, and toasted slivered almonds instead of peanuts. I buy the turkey already cooked (a little more expensive but much simpler). Make it the day before you plan to serve it, and add the almonds just before serving. Totally easy, absolutely yummy, and your guests will rave about it!!
