I absolutely love these scones. I have made them three times (substituting in cranberries) and will definitely be gifting the mix. Thanks so much for the wonderful recipe!

I am definitely giving this 5 stars after this email I just got (I gave this away in jars as gifts): "I made the cranberry scones from the mix you gave us. They were the best I have ever eaten. Clint and Ron loved them too. I would love to have the recipe. They want me to make them again. They were "to die for." AWESOME!!!

wonderful! I only tried a large crumb last night when I made them, but my coworkers LOVED them! I liked the little bite I had. I think I added more cinnamon than called for, and a few more currants. I halved the recipe and made it straight from the mix, but I may have to make these as gifts sometime. Very good, and incredibly easy too. Thanks for the recipe

These were easy to make and whole family enjoyed them for Easter breakfast. I formed the dough into a square about 9" and cut into square "biscuits", brushed the top with egg white, then sprinkled sugar. They were easy to handle and tasted good with the currants in them. I added a dollop of sour cream to the dough, and I don't know what that did for it, but they were tender and tasty, and no leftovers. I did use 1/2 whole wheat flour, it may have been whole wheat pastry flour and I baked the "biscuits" for a shorter time than suggested. This is a keeper! I used half the recipe and it made enough for 6 people.

Not only does this recipe make the best scone mix--it makes the best scones! After looking at other scone recipes that use perishable items I don't usually have on hand (e.g. sour cream), I tried this recipe. The scone are tender, moist, flavourful, and crisp on the outside. The recipe is incredibly adaptable. I've used dried cranberries, raisins, diced dried pear, and today I'm going to use frozen mixed berries. Friends who have received the mix as a gift have raved about it. I usually double the recipe. Doubling the recipe makes about 15 cups of mix or 5 batches of scones.
