Where did you put the lime juice? I've assumed the salsa. What about adding some garlic to the rub? Maybe, wrap rubbed chicken in plastic wrap for an hour or two. This has the potential of being an awesome dish.

There is a lot of different flavors between the two components of this dish. The Avocado salsa was good, not great, it was good with tortilla chips more than the chicken. The chicken was kind of boring. The taste was kind of boring. To improve maybe a different seasoning for the chicken, and the avocado salsa needs more tomatoes.

I'm giving this four start because the salsa is great. The chicken, however, is fairly bland. Next time, I'll make the salsa and try a different chicken recipe.
