I made this today and used cherries instead of the cranberries. Added about 1/8 or 1/4 c. mini chocolate chips and reduced the sugar to 3/4 cup. It is delicious and very quick and easy. Can't wait to have it with coffee this weekend!

LOVE IT! DID a few alterations though I doubled the batch and put it in a 9x13 pan cut the butter down to 3/4 cup and the sugar down to 1&1/2 cups. I then used the remaining 1/4 cup butter 1/2 cup brown sugar and a 2 heaping spoonfuls of flour to make a crumb topping. EVERYONE LOVED IT. went in minutes.

Very easy and excellent flavor. I used sliced almonds and added the juice of 1/2 orange and about 1 TBSP orange zest. I used "Better N Eggs" for the 2 eggs and it was still wonderful! I'm getting ready to make it again to share with my work buddies.

This was a real tasty little dessert. I added golden raisins and a tsp of vanilla along with the almond extract. I sprinkled the top with course sugar and it came out great and crispy. My husband was standing behind me with the pie server in his hand when I took it out of the oven. He ate two pieces before dinner! We enjoyed this very much. Thanks, Jean!

What a great surprise! I had a bag of fresh cranberries left from Thanksgiving and thought I would try this easy recipe - am I ever glad I did. The kids even enjoyed it warm from the oven with some fresh whipped cream. Very tasty!

Very easy and tasted great! My daughter doesn't like nuts, so I substituted them with 2 oz. of cut-up bittersweet chocolate, then cut back on the sugar a little. Be aware that this really tastes like a cake not a pie.

My family and I thought this was outstanding! It was a wonderful way to use up cranberries I'd had in the freezer. Perfect blend of sweet and just a little tart and not dry at all. Of course this is not a pie, it's a coffee cake. I really want to try this with blueberries next time.

Wonderful! I was out of walnuts so skipped those, upped the cranberries to 2 1/2 cups and reduced the sugar to 3/4 cup. It was still sweet enough and a huge hit..

I thought this recipe was very good. I didn't have walnuts on hand so I used chopped almonds in stead. It turned out tasty!

saw this recipe and thought i had to try it i just happen to have 2 bags of frozen cranberrys in my freezer which i had plans on making something else with them but i saw this and had to try it ran down stairs and threw the berrys in the strainer to thaw while making dinner. i followed the recipe but i did add 1 tsp cinnamon and 2 dashes of nutmeg didnt have almond so i used vanilla have to have cinnamon..LOL anyway i also had to let it cook an extra 5 minutes. it turned out wonderful i didnt have any walnuts. but i was in a hurry i had to try this so next time i will add probably some pastachio nuts , i made two tonight . one in a 9 inch pie pan and the other in a 8x8 glass square baking dish , i am taking one to share with my co workers tomorrow and we have one for us here at home. so simple and easy to make whips up in a flash.. i tryed it both with a spoon of ice cream and with out both ways are great. thanks for sharing this recipe. update for this pie. everyone at the office adored this when i brought it last week, i drizzled dark chocolate over it its amazing everyone raved about it. making it again tonight for a Christmas party

It needed about 5 more minutes in the oven. It tastes like cranberry and sugar cookie in one.

Wonderful! I used vanilla instead of almond essence simply because that is what I had in my house, and it was yummi!
