Ingredients

  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 (5 ounce) cans chow mein noodles
  • 6 1/2 ounces salted peanuts

Directions

  1. In a large saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter, honey and cinnamon. Bring to a boil over medium heat; cook and stir for 1 minute. Remove from the heat; stir in vanilla. Add noodles and peanuts; gently stir to coat. Transfer to a greased 9-in. square pan. Cover with waxed paper; press into an even layer. Let stand for at least 1 hour before cutting.
