I made a few changes to this recipe, with marvelous results! Instead of plain peanuts, I opted for honey roasted ones, and used butterscotch ripple ice cream instead of plain vanilla. The flavours complement each other perfectly! If you don't have butterscotch ripple ice cream, try putting butterscotch/caramel sundae topping on top of the vanilla ice cream layer. I think it would be much better than the chocolate syrup that others have suggested. Delicious!

I also have a similar recipe made with rice krispies. I used sliced almonds and when serving, drizzled with caramel sauce. Yum!

This was a nice variation to an ice cream treat. I did double the topping mix and I think if you don't you will not have enough to fully coat the top and bottom of the pan. My guests loved it and so did I. I wish I read the review to put hershey syrup on the ice cream before putting on the top crust. That would have added a great touch. My one complaint though which has nothing to do with the YUMMY taste..is that you need a plate to eat it over..not a walk around bar type of dessert which I thought it would be. Thanks!

Thanks for a long lost recipe! I used to make this as a child, making ice cream balls and rolling them in the mixture. Be sure to serve with Hershey's syrup.

This recipe is delicious! I had a similar recipe that I lost so I was delighted to find this. My original recipe called for cashews, so that's what I used. I served it with several ice cream toppings for my guests to top their own. It was a huge hit!

This is the same as my recipe except I use rice krispies instead of rice chex. I also add some chocolate syrup on the icecream before adding the top crust. Very Good!
