I made this last night for my parents and the could not stop eating it. Very good and easy, I follow advice from another viewer I used a brown paper bag very little mess to clean up. Poured carmel in bag over the popped corn and shake a few times every minute. it was the bomb.

Wow! How could something SO EASY be SO GOOD? Like other reviewers, I substituted honey for the corn syrup and margarine for the butter. Cut final Microwave time to 2 minutes (and still had to pick a few scorchers out). The only problem I find with this recipe is that my family could eat WAY too much of it!

Fantastic!! Unbelievably quick and simple to make and absolutely delicious! I didn't have butter and even though it says no substitutes, I used margarine and to prevent scorching I cut the final microwave time to 2 and half minutes and it was perfect. 2 glass bowls, a wisk, a wooden spoon and a cooking sprayed sheet of foil to cool on, the easiest clean up ever. Totally beats the old fashioned way to make crispy caramel corn, I can't wait to try it with real butter. Thank you for this recipe, now back to the microwave to whip up some more!!

I had to give this recipe 5 stars. I was just looking for something different to make with popcorn and peanuts and I saw this one. I substituted honey for corn syrup (didn't have any)as another reviewer said. Everything else was exactly like the recipe. It came out so yummy, sweet and gooey and crunchy, just how we like it. I really think this recipe beats all the others I have ever tried or bought. It's close to impossible to make a mistake with this one. It was ever so easy too! Thank you Shelly for this wonderful recipe. I am going to make a ton of it for my halloween party this year.

I wasn't expecting much from microwaved caramel corn, but I was very pleasantly surprised. It has just the right amount of coating to cover every piece of popcorn and has an excellent flavor with the perfect amount of salt. It's super fast and easy and the best part is that it cools very quickly. I found that 1/3 cup popcorn kernels and 2T oil makes almost exactly 6 cups popcorn and works just right with this recipe. Thank you for sharing it with us! I'll definitely never make caramel corn in the oven again.

This recipe it so easy! For the holidays, add crushed candy cane, butter toffee peanuts, (or whatever candy or nut you like). After cooled, drizzle with white chocolate and cool again. Place caramel corn in plastic treat bags and close with foil garland. Makes an excellent holiday favor.

Made this for Christmas 2008. Didn't use any nuts and baked it in the oven for 30 min. like another recipe I tried. It was chewy. Next time will add almonds and microwave or bake it longer to dry it out more. Loved the flavor - like Poppycock.

SUPER! In my first batch I used dark brown sugar and it came out just like Cracker Jacks. I was so inspired that I tried light brown sugar and slivered almonds in place of the peanuts - the result was a fabulous butter-toffee like corn.

Fabulous and easy. I ended up only microwaving the popcorn in the last step for 2 minutes, but I like mine slightly chewier.

My sister made a double batch of this and five of us -- two kids and three adults -- gobbled it up while watching TV. We all loved it, and it goes together as fast as the recipe states.

We came home with a free refill of an XL bucket of popcorn from the movies last night. I've made caramel corn using a stove-top recipe and a candy thermometer, but this recipe was so easy. I made 4 batches, one right after the other and it took me less than half an hour. We loved the salty-sweet taste from using the movie theater popcorn & salted nuts. The only change I made was to use a can of salted deluxe mixed nuts I had on hand instead of the peanuts. A few tips... use pot holders, the glass bowls get hot... when you are microwaving the popcorn, stir every 30 seconds... finally, count on making at least a double batch, 6 cups sounds like a lot of popcorn, but it will be gone before you know it!

4 stars for the excellent crunch... But not 5, because the flavor was just alright. Tasty, but a little weak. Maybe I used too much popcorn. Though, here's an FYI..."microwave-safe" does not mean "microwave-safe PLASTIC". Should've been common sense, but now I've got a microwave-safe plastic bowl with a oerfectly round hole burned through the middle of it. (Not to mention a clump of caramel I can't get out of the sink...) :)

This caramel corn is nice and crunchy and not as chewy as some other recipes. Instead of using a large bowl for the popcorn, I used a brown paper bag. It worked great! I just poured the caramel over the popcorn and shook the bag a few times while it cooked in the microwave for 3 minutes. YUM!!!
