This recipe was a bit of a surprise; I expected it to be kind of blah at worst, OK at best. But I enjoyed it quite a bit - it's pretty tasty. I made it exactly as written (the flour was unbleached, the cheddar was mild, and for the "greased" dish I used canola oil cooking spray). Even though the recipe's described as good for cold-weather, I just made it this week, during a warm summer, and it's just fine then, too. The only little problem I have is that I'm not quite sure what course it's appropriate for; I didn't really think a fruity side-dish was a good idea, but I had some for a late-night dessert, and some for breakfast, and some for lunch, and it really tastes good anytime. Thanks for a simple, and tasty new dish!

Pretty good but way too many bread crumbs on top. Could probably reduce by half. I also cut the sugar in half and it was still plenty sweet.
