I made this in my breadmaker. Dough was a little sticky, when rolling out I used flour and found it to be perfectly manageable. Cooked perfectly in the oil. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Perfect eaten warm. Yum.

These are GREAT! Watch your oil temp. so they don't hollow themselves out. It was fun filling them though:)

Really wonderful! Milk needs to be scalded first as others have said.

This recipe was nothing at all like KK donunts. I didn't like the glaze either. I agree with other posters about the texture, it was bland without the glaze and then the glaze was terrible. It took a lot of time and was extremely disappointing. I agree that you can get canned biscuits and they would taste way better.

Great recipe! I won't be going out for doughnuts again. This recipes made WAY more than 18 doughnuts. We got closer to 30 with some dunkin stick and some holes. I wish I'd known to add more water earlier as the first glaze was a bit thick. Once I figured this out they were fine. They taste great with both the thick and thin glaze but it's much easier to work with when it's thin.

I must have done something wrong...although I followed the directions! My husband said they tasted like a fried fortune cookie (not quite what I was going for...) We don't fry a lot of foods, so this probably turned out wrong for me because of my lack of experience frying.

these were ok...i used more than five cups of flour, because the dough was very sticky...i expected more...they werent as light and fluffy as i thought they would be...im a young NC girl...so ive had Krispy Kreme my whole life...these were a little more "doughy" than i thought they would be...but hey everyone ate them!

Very Good! I made these the night before hoping to have donuts for breakfast. They didn't last that long. I did manage to save some but were not as good when fresh and still warm. I think because we have high humidity were we live. These are the best donuts it is worth the effort.

This is a great recipe. The taste is light and fluffy but not like Krispy Kreme. The yeast flavor was a little over powering too me. It was kind of like a light & fluffy fried yeast roll in a glaze. Anyway, my family loved them & they came out picture perfect. I ran out of glaze & had to make more. Next time I will double the glaze.

These were so good! light, fluffy, moist, and wonderful dip in the glaze. I made dozens of doughnut holes and served them with toothpicks in the center. I also made a chocolate glaze by adding some chocolate to the hot glaze.Delicious! My favorite!
