Crispy Rice Bake

"This is a yummy and EASY recipe that kids love! Similar to tuna casserole, but without the noodles. You may add different veggies or use cream of mushroom soup, my family doesn't care for mushrooms, so I use the chicken instead. Can also use fat-free soup."

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 8 inch square baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, stir together the tuna, peas and cream of chicken soup. Gently fold in the cereal. Transfer to the prepared baking dish.
  3. Bake for 45 minutes in the preheated oven, until bubbling and lightly browned on top.

Very good! I made this with puffed wheat instead of rice crispies because it's what I had and it was very tasty. I'm deducting one star because it looks a little gross and it doesn't make a lot.

Yikes. The only reason I gave this 3 stars is because we did eat it instead of going out to dinner, but it was a close call. It was very gray, flat, and smooshy. The rice crispies just vanished into starch.

This recipe was very disappointing. It had the texture of mush. The only thing that made it edible was adding cheese and hot sauce to mask the flavor.

I make this quite a bit but use rice noodles instead of rice crispies. Good comfort food.
