This was such a nice change to the regular baked chicen I've made for years! The flavor was perfect (although I did add seasoned salt, pepper, and extra garlic salt to the flakes). The texture was nice and after putting it in the broiler for the last 5 minutes of cooking, the chicken came out a perfect golden brown. Strangley enough, my 5 year old didn't like the batter on it, but he can be a weird eater. I do think most kids would inhale this recipe.

Wonderful dish the family loved it! I added a couple extra spices in according to my taste but I tend to personalize everything I cook. Beyond that I made no changes. thanks to the cook for sharing it here!!!

This was great....used butter flavored herb instant mashed potatoes and mixed in some grill seasoning and crushed red pepper flakes. Used boneless/skinless chicken breasts...2 dipped in the butter and 1 sprayed with butter flavored cooking spray (for me since I'm cutting back on fat) and all turned out delicious! I'm sure if I'd sprayed them all, they wouldn't have noticed! None were extremely crispy, but enough to be delicious. Thank you!!

We enjoyed this recipe, but next time I will add a little more seasoning, it was kind of bland.

Pretty good. I took the suggestions from the another review and added paprika, cayene, italian seasoning and onion powder. I also used light marg. instead of butter and it was still great.

You can use this for baking any kind of meat basically. My main suggestion is to put it on a wire rack over a pan covered with foil, turn throughout cooking process (about 2-4 times) until all areas are browned, and it is perfect-just like fried chicken without all the oil. I have used this to make chicken strips and most recently with drumsticks. Excellent.

This is really easy, and tastes incredible with sour cream and chive flavored potatoes. House smells really great too!

Great easy recipe! Hubby enjoyed it and is usually bored by chicken. I loved the crunchy coating and the chicken turned out tender and juicy. Thanks for the recipe!

My family loved this chicken. My son is very picky and my husband doesn''t like "skinless" chicken. He loved this recipe and never mentioned anything abouth the skin...I don't think he even knew it was gone. :o)

I gave this recipe a 1 because even after adding onion flakes, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika more salt and pepper, it was still super bland! I even mixed a little EVOO in with the melted butter but with no avail. I will admit the chicken came out really crispy and golden brown, but the powder taste and odd texture from the potato flakes makes this recipe a dud. Will not make again.

Simple and tasty. I didn't have potato flakes (instant mashed potatoes?) so I used crunched up rice crispy cereal. Worked well. Chicken was crisp and moist despite being served later than anticipated.

I used eggs instead of butter like another reviewer recommended, but it really wasn't crispy, more just dry and crumbly on the outside.

OK, so I was sort of scared of using instant potatoes ever- but this was REALLY naughty and delicious. We used a four cheese flavored variety and real parmigiano reggiano. I will absolutely make this again.

This recipe came out very good. As another reviewer suggested, I tried using flavored instant potatoes. It did come out a little bit salty so I might try plain potatoes next time. Other than that it was great!
