This is a terrific coating. Very light and crisp. I used fresh Halibut and fresh Alaskan Salmon. Wonderful!

very good,the potatoe flakes are a must now in my fish frying,it makes the fish look so great when fried.i will try it next time without the flour as you suggested.THE POTATOE FLAKES RULE.

GOOD recipe. The review of 3-30-00 by ddwmitch puzzles me. The recipe, as I read it, says 1 Tbs of black pepper.

I made this recipe with fresh walleye and it was awesome! We didn't fry the first batch long enough so it wasn't real crispy. We fried the second batch a little longer and it was crispy and had great flavor. It took no time to prepare and was even good the next day.

I didn't add the 5TB black pepper called for, believing it to be excessive for something to be fed to children. The potato flakes added an interesting new texture that was quite good.
